Doll Themed shoot july 31 09'

This was a doll theme shoot i just did with model Nia Ale. she's originally from peru!

she was a joy to work with and definitely a challenge since she's a newbie. i also worked with make-up artist/model Tiana of TMCreations. Tiana was really cool and did an awesome job.

"Flavor of the Week" 03

So i had a beauty shoot on july the 25th. it was awesome! i worked with Six really great models.

The shoot was another trade shoot but totally worth the time.

Now this shoot was definitely interesting, i made a lot of decisions when it came to styling and make-up and hair as well as which model got which color. the concept for the shoot was different colors and their moods. the girls did a great job and weren't afraid to try different things. i'm grateful to have worked with them.

I also have to credit a big part of the team which was Irene (one of the most genuine and sincere people) who did make-up for Solange,Suzy and Adriana, and Ashley(the newbie make-up artist with the talent of a seasoned artist) who transformed Marissa,Ashley and Nadia. the hair was done by the fastest hairstylist i know Irina!

Shoot was done with natural light, a white board and white board reflector. Thats called improvising.=)

we had a slow start but i knew she had it in her to produce my style of photos. her background of modelling is different from what i'm used to but she handled the shoot well! plus she never complained.

"Flavor Of the Week" 01

I have this idea for exposure for myself and the professionals i work with.

instead of working with one model at a time i've decided to expand my themes for shoots

to multiple models. i want to call it Flavor of the Week! My crazy idea behind this is how often people change their minds. One minute metallic is in then its out! With my Flavor of the Week i will have a theme with mutiple models in similar roles, then once the photos are ready,i will post them to so followers can vote for their favorite model. hence the "Flavor of the Week!"

I hope people will follow this and pay attention to the models and other talented people involved so that maybe we all can be recognized and further our rise to sucess!

keeping with the subject of photography i'd like to display a pic or two from my most recent shoot.

this model was an absolute joy to work with! though green to the model world she still managed to captivate me! she's also very goofy and fun to work with ! i had a blast.

so here goes.......i've got several ideas for shoots and i'm excited to shoot them!

being a photographer with its limits is still extremely freeing of the soul! being able to be creative and see your finished product is exciting! with that said being a photographer is still hard work. especially for a beginner like me its time consuming......getting models, hair and make-up,and wardrobe can be a hit or miss. but the results of all that stress is greatly rewarding.i hope to gain exposure with this blog so i can someday make it in the photography industry.
